Getting ready for camp Adair

Today we got into our activity and cabin groups for camp Adair.  For both groups we got to learn more about the kids in our cabin and activity groups and we wrote and contract sort of thing that could make our team better but that was only for the activity groups for the cabin we had to draw on a shield what we really enjoyed.My name for the cabin groups is the turds durds and the name for our activity group is the tellietubbies.I am excited about all of the activities,going to the camp,explore the camp.I am nervous about,going sleep,the activities,going to camp.One thing I need to remember is to join in with everything I do.

Character day

Today at T.A.P.S we had a character day and we all dressed up as a character from a book but I just dressed up as mufti.

Library visit

Today we went on a trip to the new library in Te awamutu.  On thing I loved was it was way bigger than the old one and it wasn't cramped up and lots more chairs to sit on and the best thing was it had free WiFi and it's free to get a book for kids.  So the library was way better than the old one.

Grasping from the tree above.  I was vicious and had to get revenge on those filthy victims.  Anger gaining metres on my body and was waiting to plunge off.  My stalk was wiggling.  Waving side to side.  Still planning my attack on those disgusted kids.  Suddenly I heard a snap.  Descending like a parachute and was hoping my evil method will work on those guilty children.3,2,1.

Clouting to the ground with a hatred force.  This was my time to unleash my plan.  Kids elegantly playing around.  But those happy faces will be turned upside down soon.  They were getting closer and closer.  It was closing in.  This was my chance.  It was one metre away.

“Hop out the way”.  Twisting around.  Sluggishly my mouth opened wide.  The destroyer was coming.  Spinning with 1000000 horsepower tearing all of the pieces of elongated luscious grass.  Driving towards me.  Nooooooo!  I was mutilated.  But my kids will get them next time.  R.I.P Tyde.

TAPS OLYMPICS

Today Taps had a olympic game and the country that I was in was Australia but unfortunately we didn't get a placing.But it wasn't like the actual olympics it was with gumboot throw, rob the nest and all those games.And South africa placed 3rd, China placed 2nd and the country that took it out was Ireland.So that was sort of fun but it was dumb that we didn't win.

Fruit Burst Writing

Here is my story about fruit bursts:           Fruit Burst
Red barrier protecting the 3D rectangle from destruction.  My saliva frothing up and my mouth ready to devour the red block.  Sluggishly unwrapping it as it crinkles and the red block get's some freedom.  The scrumptious strawberry smell wafts past my nose.  My mouth firing the mouthwatering block around like a ball.  The saliva deliberately turns red.  My teeth slicing it's body one by one.  And the red block accelerates down the slide and into a green pool of acid.

Short Film

We haved worked on creating a storyboard from a short script.
Our script was: 

Sam sees Mark across the room, he aims and throws the paper aeroplane towards him.  The plane flies through the air and hits Mark on the back of the head.  He turns around to see where it came from. Sam quickly puts his head down pretending to read his exercise book.  Mark can’t see who did it and so a bit annoyed, returns back to his work.  Sam chuckles to himself.

Arguement writing

The school should days go to 5pm

I disagree school day should go to 5pm.  Firstly they will get tired and wake up late.  Secondly children will get hungry and they will have to wait until they get home.  Finally they might walk home late and it isn't safe in the dark for kids.

Firstly they will get tired and wake up late.  Because when you are tired you become clumsy and when you're clumsy you drop cups and bump into people and that's usually a sign that we are overtired.  Being tired means we take less risks.

Secondly children will get hungry and they will have to wait until they get home.  Because about 21,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger related causes.  You can go for more than three weeks (21 days) without food and water.

Finally they might walk home late and it isn’t safe in the dark for kids.  Because nearly 1.3 million people die a year in road crashes each year,on average 3,287 deaths a day.  Car crashes is ranked the 9th leading causes of death and account for 2.2% of all deaths globally.   Also it gets dark at 5:15.

These are my main reasons why school should not go to 5pm.  They will be tired, we will get hungry and it’s not safe walking in the dark.

Splash ! the coldness struck my body. At last I was out of the sun. Glimmering jewels floated across the bitter water. Smash ! a vast giant came to devour me. Observing around like a fierce and ferocious shark. It was getting chilly.

Travelling to go and get my towel. The transparent water attracted the miniscule gold to my feet. Hastily, I darted to the car. Gripping onto my cozy towel and wrapping it around me, it was like I was the filling and the towel was the tortilla. I hopped in the car and travelled home.

Ancient history

This week for reading we have been doing plays.  Today we recorded them as movies.  But we are still working on it with Mrs T and we are using the green screen.  It probably will be done on 13/4/16.

Daffodil day

Today everyone in the school planted daffodils for daffodil day.

Sushi

A green layer of crispy seaweed protecting the mouthwatering fillings.  Calmly gripping onto it, my mouth opens.  Hastily devouring it.  Sushi skiing rapidly into a chamber of destruction.  Gobbling it all.  I want some more.

Broccoli

Green demon boiling to death.  It’s vast afro sluggishly getting boiled off.  Revolting smell drifts past my nose.  Gruesome steam embraces the whole kitchen.  Crunchy broccoli getting demolished.  Making them a house between my teeth.  That was abominable.

Nervously trotting to a herd of cheering children.  Flags swaying in the gusty wind.  Red, green, Blue, Yellow yip that's my house.  I sat down on the solid surface.  Waiting patiently for my race.  Sweltering sun making my skin turn red.  Sliding across the compact tarmac to take shelter from the flaming sun.  10 year old boy’s 1 length freestyle.  That’s me.  I traipsed to the wooden seat.  Waiting I strolled up onto the starting stand.  Am I reading.

Butterflies fluttering in my tummy.  On your marks, get set, go!.  I soared through the air like a fierce falcon and through the transparent water.  Observing around under water.  They were catching up.  So I swam as swift as I could go.  Children cheering and parents shouting.   Nearly at the finish.  I gripped onto the the finish.

Shooting up from under the water.  Pouncing up on to the  tough surface.  My legs were really exhausted.  I stood up and they gave me my time and a yellow block.  The yellow block means I got 3rd place.  I was really proud of what I did and place I got.

Writing - Tomatoes

In my mouth, the mushy tomatoes gets demolished.  Smashing their red skin off.  The yellow button starts to break.  The seeds linger to get out of jail.  Playing a game of soccer in my mouth.  The flesh addresses the seeds to escape.  Hanging off their stalk that's where they will be until they turn red.  A tomatoes is a mouthwatering vegetable. 

Dingy on the roof

On the weekend some stupid person put the syndicate 2 dingy on the syndicate three toilets roof.  This morning we went down to watch Matua Manu and the caretaker of Saint Patrick's school come and take the dingy off the roof.

Hangi

Pawa gliding across the air.  Fire trying to escape from the bottom.  Raw heihei pledging not to get burnt to perfection.  Dead ashes lying on the ground.  Baskets getting burned.  Metal barrels getting darker and darker as seconds past.  Wahie getting chucked on as their family pasts away.  Kahatu getting sandwiched from the firewood.  I wish I bought a ticket.

Our trip to the Courier & Space Center

Today we went on a class trip. My favourite part was the light thing at the space centre.

Two things I learnt:
